The founders of the Ferrum Delta Chi, having found the local organizations not fulfilling enough, decided to band together and bring a national fraternity on campus. After much deliberation, they decided that the values of Delta Chi embodied the ideals of what a man should be. Upon examination of Delta Chi history and brothers, not only were Delta Chi's searching for personal growth in their lives, but they were always looking to help others as well, in particular with the V Foundation. This commitment to self and others led the Ferrum men to be chartered and became an official chapter of Delta Chi's on September 19, 2015.
The first leadership team involved the ever dynamic Luke Black as President, the mysterious CJ Craft as Vice President, Eddy Funes as secretary, gaming ginger Trevor Leach as Treasurer, Jimmer Carleton as Alumni Relations, and Mike Spidle as the Risk Officer.
